For more than 175 years the Carter-Rice building has stood silently collecting stories about St. Charles, its residents and visitors. Now known as the Boone’s Lick Trail Inn, the building has been located along Historic Boone’s Lick Road since 1843. All of our accommodations provide an atmosphere of historic authenticity, appointed with fine antiques and comfortable period reproductions.
During your stay at Boone’s Lick Trail Inn you will enjoy a delightful breakfast of the freshest fruits, juices, pastries, breads, homemade jams and jellies each morning. Innkeeper and hostess, V’Anne Mydler, serves her special breakfast entrees like cheese stuffed French toast with strawberry sauce or Eggs Ole’ each morning in the comfortable dining and sitting rooms. Breakfast may also be served in your room or outdoors by request for a fee.
